Shifting Environments of an Immaterial Worker

Due to the economic processes of the last decades, many workers have witnessed the shift from the material work of the production in the manufactures and factories to the labor related to data manipulation and service.

The project is located in the HAKA building in Rotterdam, a former factory space determined by the logic of the production to the realm of abstract work. The proposed intervention is a reflection on the condition of an immaterial worker as well as an illustration of the proposed process of overcoming alienation in an abstracted environment.
