The readings of an occupied space

In an attempt to understand the space beyond architectural measurements, I allowed myself to interact with the materiality and immateriality of the place I live in. In the process of reading and re-writing the space I’ve been reflecting on my spatial occupancy of ‘my room’. The space, here and now called mine, has previously been and in the future will be inhabited by other people. My room is a space whose story I can never fully experience. My position was to relate to the spatial qualities present there. By ‘reading’ the floor and the ceiling, I created the framework for further experimentation with the space. Reflecting on all the details surrounding me, I went beyond what is taken for granted, creating another layer of occupancy.
