How Things Come to Settle on the Earth

2021

How Things Come to Settle on the Earth is a series of encounters where the then and the now meet, between the field studies across the rock formations of the prehistoric British moorlands and the excavations into the present societal landscapes. My work looks to link us to a more profound time before histories were restructured. The feminine force of the ancient architectonic structures have a place in today’s cultural discourse (Gimbutas 1999). To be able to excavate past histories and reveal their ghosts in present histories allows us to fabricate a dialogue where we can potentially form a more inclusive collective memory in the recognised patriarchal systems of now.
