If it were up to the muskrat (Als het aan de muskusrat lag)

A series of storytelling tiles exploring the complexities surrounding the ongoing conflict between the Netherlands and its invasive muskrat population.  Through this series, the muskrat becomes a symbol of the dispossessed and marginalized. Each tile, with its distinct material language, examines different facets of this story. Paired with a research publication, the work interrogates how acts of ecological management often reflect broader social dynamics of oppression and control.
