Popular thinking is that the absence of light is just negative, my purpose is to change this conception that we have about darkness by flipping our perspective and considering the sun as an enemy. Our skin, like a photograph, shows the effects of sunlight on its surface. From this view, I started to think about new ways to build hypothetical spaces starting with the sun as a designer, which leaves traces of its passage.

The multiple sculptures cast with photosensitive cyanotype are interiors designed by the sun. Photographs capture real moments in a day, when the sunlight passed inside a 1:1 camera obscura are then translated as three-dimensional sentient recorders. The walls of the original interior register the shades of light on its ‘skin.’
