This project began with an observation, followed by a critique, of an existing luxury holiday home in the Biesbosch National Park. The commodification of nature appears to have no bounds if we can occupy a so-called national park with our architecturally palatable rental properties. Biesbosch Living is a speculative property development site created to highlight what little questioning we do, both of information and ethics, when it comes to our own desires. The houses were launched publicly on marktplaats and gained interest not only from potential buyers but also from property agents who hoped to help sell the Biesbosch homes.
