Public Interiors and Design Strategies by architect Hilbrand Wanders of the international award-winning office Neutelings Riedijk Architects.

Neutelings Riedijk Architects is specialized in cultural buildings. The last ten years several Museums, Concert halls and Libraries has been designed within the office. In the designs of Neutelings Riedijk for public buildings the urban presence is always strongly emphasized. Not only in its sculpture or treatment of the façade, but also in the development of the public character of the interior.

In this lecture Hilbrand Wanders will reveal the strategies that are used within the office to develop this urban presence by showing the museum het MAS in Antwerp, the library and art school Rozet in Arnhem and the museum Beeld en Geluid in Hilversum.
