Obsessive Cleaners

To enhance the individual cleaning experience, a quintet of Obsessive Cleaners creates a micro soundscape of their own within the domestic space. Sponges, brushes and dusters that are displayed here, collectively perform a minimal symphony as various surfaces are cleaned by repetitive friction. Each imitating a different cleaning technique, the five cleaning mechanisms are designed to clean details of the house that are often neglected.

Obsessive Cleaners uses industrial elements of motorised mechanisms to define the aesthetics of the materiality. Delicate brushes and metal details are integrated into the design to magnify the attentive and meticulous nature of the obsessive cleaner. Conclusively, this exclusive collection aims to reflect the humorous aspect of obsessions and encourage enthusiasm for those inclined to avoid the domestic cleaning experience.
