(de)composition

We surround ourselves with screens, approaching what is displayed as an equivalent to reality. But this content that is presented to us has been processed in order to carry a new meaning. The nature of the movies of Pier Paolo Pasolini and his approach towards cinematography illustrate the possible level of the autonomy of the content displayed on the screen to the reality. In his work, the composition of the frame carefully directs the focus of the spectator and positions the desired object.

The project uses the reflective polarizer film found in screens. The recycled material has been framed in a series of gridded structures, their size represent different kinds of devices – thus allowing us to experience our surrounding as a new composition.
