What if

Developments in economy, politics, ethics, technology, demographics and more will transform human existence. Patterns of consumption and commodification play a certain role within these developments as the world will be shared by an ever increasing number of people with altered possibilities, opportunities, limitations and threats.

What if is a visual narrative and a critical speculation about the way that consumption develops nowadays. What happens when the authorities impose upon people to empty their houses and reload them again by purchasing only one item per day?

Based on the story of the Finish documentary ‘My stuff’, where the protagonist also empties his apartment and reload it day by day, that project investigates how our spaces and bodies serve and react towards our objects. It is a social commentary on rethinking both stimulation of consumption and distribution of products in relations to everyday interiors.
